So Cute

I love this. It is a crayon roll. I found the instructions while I was cruising through other blogs and I had to try it. It is very simple and inexpensive. I am loving it. It will be great for church because it doesn't make any noise. Any way I am super happy with the results. Yeah for me.

Just a Thought

I went to a company dinner with my family(almost all of us work for the same company)on Friday. There was a guest speaker there from Franklin Covey. He was awesome. He gave a short presentation and challenged us to make a mission statement for our lives. So I am going to take him up on it and start working on My Mission Statement. Thanks to Heavenly Father we have the power to choose what we want to be down here. Now hopefully I choose what is best for me.

I'm Super Excited!

I am super excited! I just got my camera back from the shop. I got it fixed for about $50 and I am ready to go. Unfortunately I have to wait until tomorrow to give it a test drive since it is too dark tonight. I'm sure work will drag on all morning till I can take this baby out.

Just Playing Around

She is just too cute for me.

So I am still waiting on my better camera but I have been playing with my Mom's. It is really hard to get it to focus right. I have read the manual and tried all the tricks. So either I am to dumb or the camera is just stupid. I am going with the stupid camera. But these are a few I snapped over the weekend.

This is just perfect of her. I got her to cooperate but not the camera. I am bummed this one didn't focus better.

Practice Makes Perfect

So I have been thinking about being a photographer for about a year and a half now. With my recent trip to Hawaii I have really been inspired to go ahead and pursue it. So I called my brother-in-law (who is a professional photographer/videographer) to get some advice about cameras and software ect.... and to my surprise he offered to give me one on one lessons. Dave you rock!

So I had my first lesson on Wednesday. It was great and luckily for me he is a great teacher. He taught me a few tricks of the trade but I know I have a ways to go.

I have an old Canon that takes great pics. It is currently in the shop. I should get it next week. My sweetheart of a Mother is letting me play around with a newer and not as good Canon. So yesterday I made my sisters go out so I could shoot some pics. My sister Morgan who is 17 loves the camera and I had no problem getting her to do it(she the pretty one with long blond locks). However my sister Kat who is 13 was another story. I had to literally drag her out of the house and promise her that if I couldn't take a good shot of her then I would never ask her again(she is lovely beauty with the darker blond hair). Little Maison who is 9 was a little reluctant but gave in in the end (she is the brown haired cutie). The end result: I took 24 exposures and came up with about 4 nice pics and I get to take more pics of Kat. Because I proved she was photogenic.

So for the next however long I will be practicing and practicing on all my willing friends and family. They will no doubt get sick of my constant badgering and constant picture taking. So if anyone is interested let me know and we will set up time. Next up is little Arianne. She is a little camera shy but next time she will have no choice. I'm going to get her all dolled up and she is going to rock it.

Hmmmm She is Pretty Good

Believe or not all these pictures were taken by my little 6 year old. Way to go Presley. I think that she has got a natural talent. I told her so and let her know that she could be a photographer when she got older. She was very pleased with this idea. A few days later one of our friends happen to ask her what she wanted to be when she grows up and to my surprise she had remembered our conversation and said that she wanted to a photographer. My little munchkin makes her momma proud. And a big thanks to my parents who spoiled her rotten and got her a camera for Christmas. Love ya Mom, Dad, and Pres!

Are You Ready?

Okay are you ready for some great pics? Well I am so here we go. The first three were taken in the Lava Tube. We are about 1/4 of a mile underground. It was super cool. The 2nd one is what the ceiling of the cave looked like at one point. It reminds me of chocolate. Yum!

This is Hana Town.

Us at the cross. It is up on the hill in Hana and it is a memorial for someone.

This is quite possibly my favorite view/place on earth. The beautiful and majestic Hamoa beach.

My little elf.

I'm Back

So I got back on Sunday night. I can't tell you how wonderful my trip to Maui was. It was perfect. The weather was incredible. It was raining for about 2 weeks straight before I came. Everyone kept saying that I brought the sunshine. I prayed before I went so that I woudl have good weather(if any of you have been to Hana you will know that it is totally rainforest territory especially in the winter months). Any way I know Heavenly Father loves me becasue he brought the sunshine with me! I laid on the beach for 9 days. I got a pretty nice tan. I was able to see old friends and experience what I love about Hana. I didn't want to come back. I have plenty of pictures that I will be posting as soon as I can get caught up with work. So keep an eye out.

My Sister

Hooray my sister moved back to Utah a few weeks ago. Her husband has been deployed to Iraq and she will be with us for the next 7 months. I am so happy to have her here(she is a great work out/diet partner) though we are sad and nervous to have Josh gone. They have 4 beautiful kids that I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of. Her oldest it Gavin he is 6. He is sweet and a little shy.

Next is Brooks he is 5 and has quite a set of lungs.

Then there is Bella she is 2. I know I shouldn't have a favorite but I do. She is a spitfire and she makes me laugh.

She is so cute!.

And last but not least is Leila she is 8 months. She is such a sweet happy baby.
I have really been enjoying them since my little pumkin head has been with her Dad.

Here it is

I finally got a picture of my car I have really been enjoying it so far. It a really bright blue. I never lose it in a parking lot.
