Happy Birthday to Britt

Happy Birthday to one of my most favorite people. I could not ask for a better big sister. She is always there for me. I love and her little family so much. She is smart, funny, caring, sweet, gorgeous and she just plain rocks. She also has mad decorating skills. Her house is so beautiful and she always inspires me to be more neat and clean. Oh, yeah she also has mad cleaning skills. Seriously her house is immaculate. Her husband teases her and tells her they live in a hotel.

Dear Monday,
Why do you have to be so rude? Wasn't it enough that I had a terrible nights sleep? You just had to have the power go out and foil my plans for fresh bread this morning. I had to wait 3 whole hours for my bread. You also sent me a migraine. And to top it all off it just had to snow. That was rude and uncalled for and I am not sure if I can forgive you.

Emergency

Last night just before dinner as I was waking from a much needed nap. Presley burst through the door yelling,"Emergency! Emergency!". Knowing that she tends to be more on the dramatic side I simply asked her what was wrong. She then proceed to state, "We are ONLY HAVING BEANS FOR DINNER!". After I heard the devastating news, I had no idea how we could ever recover. Somehow we made it through. After much deliberation Presley had Top Ramen (don't hate on the ramen its a treat to Presley) and the rest of the family ate the dreaded JUST BEANS. We are all so thankful we made it through such a trying time. Let it be stated that eating beans in an official emergency in our house. I just want to know what happened she used to love beans. Maybe I fed her to many.

I am so in love with spring this year! We have been having the best weather and it just makes the soul happy. I can't wait until the apple trees start to blossom. There is just something about apple orchards that seem romantic or delicious or both. haha Any way I will be ready with my camera as soon as they are ready.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day for one and all! I can proudly say that I actually am Irish. To celebrate this year I am at least going to do something outside and definitely going to pull out my camera. I have no traditions on the is holiday. Do you? If so let please share or just share what you do plan to do!

Tooth Fairy

Presley lost 2 teeth last week! She was very excited to put them under her pillow to say the least. So last night she made sure that they were tucked safely underneath her head before falling asleep. Earlier in the day she had made mention that she didn't believe in the Tooth Fairy and I just laughed. So I was all prepared last night with my wallet (that for once had cash in it). This morning when I woke up for work I quickly made the exchange and left the room. A few hours later I look up and see a little girl giving me a look that could kill and I see she is holding my wallet. I promptly ask her what the problem is and she says," I bet this dollar is from my allowance." So I say, "It most certainly is not. Give me my wallet." I quickly produce the three allowance dollars and her eyes get as big as saucers as she does the math in her head. I in turn laugh my head off and feel grateful that I choose the right dollar to tuck underneath her little head. She then asks me what all the other money in my wallet is for and informed her that it was all for me. She may not believe in the Tooth Fairy still but at least I got the job done!

Ps. I am proud of myself because I pulled the teeth! I used floss. That is a big deal for me because I don't do teeth.

Food Blog What?

Don't be mad but I have been part of a food blog for a little while now. I know, I neglected to tell you, but this is me apologizing now. I am embarrassed to say today was my first post. Shame on me. I am turning a new leaf and will post all my food musing here. Well, maybe not all of them b/c that would take way to much time. So checkout my first of many many many post!

I went and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic last night. It was super cute and funny but I have a feeling the book will be even better. I can't wait to pick it up!

Pedi Heaven

Oh, yesterday I had the best pedicure of my life! Imagine a beautiful spa environment, relaxing music, nice warm water (I hate it when the water is luke warm), gentle grooming of the nail, a paraffin wax treatment, a killer massage with hot rocks, and a really cute nail color. And after everything else that was superior I was expecting to pay around $50 and I go to pay and it was $35! It was cheaper and better in every way, not mention they were so nice. One might ask...Who are these people? Juicy Nails! That's who! I am totally going to make it a once a month stop. If you are in need of a killer pedi look no further!
